Описание

The museum is dedicated to the main events of the Eastern (Crimean) War of 1853-1856 in the Crimea. It reflects the initial period of the war that began precisely with Evpatoria. The exposition tells about the countries that participated in the Eastern (Crimean) war, the landing of the Anglo-Franco-Turkish allied army near Evpatoria in September 1854, the storming of Evpatoria by Russian troops on February 17, 1855, the most important battles of the Crimean War, the storm on the Black Sea November 14 in 1854, the memorable places of Evpatoria associated with these events.

The interior of the museum is decorated in a marine style.  The floors imitate the wooden deck of a warship.  There are ropes under the ceiling and on the floor, «aged» wooden floors, and showcases in the form of ancient boxes such as those that were on ships or in staff tents, stylized sea lanterns. All these attributes make it possible to better experience the atmosphere of the events of those years.  The exposition is created with the help of modern technologies and is equipped with an audio-visual accompaniment system. There are audio and video terminals in the halls of the museum, an audio guide services in several languages, films on the Crimean War for visitors.
